| The summer is here, it's Blasting time! Don't let your dog suffer in the heat. | The picture below shows the aftermath of blasting Jasper a German Sheppard. Jasper visits the Salon twice a year for a bath and a blast. | Yes summer has arrived all-be-it off and on, but even though the rain is coming down temperatures are high some say higher than ever. It is time to act, even though it may be once a year your dog will greatly benefit from a blast. Dogs generally shed hair during the warmer months having said that in our experience they shed more often due to our modern environment. Dead hair restricts air flow to the skin which affects your dogs cooling system. Over time your dog will simply get hot and in some cases try and pull hair from his/her skin to get some sort of relief. This as you can imagine causes sores and un-necessary suffering. Blasting unearths the dead hair trapped by new hair allowing proper air flow to the skin. - First we bath the dog, which is cooling and refreshing.
- We shampoo and rinse with fresh cool water.
- We then towel dry and move him/her to our drying table.
- We then use cool air through a hose to create a blasting effect.
- This rids the skin of dead hair and refreshes the coat.
