Hounds has been established since July, 2004 and in that time we have managed to become an extremely busy salon. The salon is designed with your pets comfort and safety in mind and is equipped with specialised grooming equipment. The salon is equipped with large professional dryers, non-slip table surfaces and air conditioning. We have plenty of treats, toy's and fresh water to help make your pet's stay with us a comfortable one. Specifically trained staff are on hand to answer any questions that you may have, we will endeavor to surpass your expectations. Please call us on 01253 769749 to make an appointment or click here to request an appointment ring back. Please read and understand our appointment cancellation policy before making an appointment. We are here Thursday to Saturday 9am till late. Here's a little information about us and what we would like from our customers. | Lorna has over 15 years experience grooming all types of dogs. Lorna's experience has covered grooming salons on both sides of the Atlantic. Lorna has amassed many many hours of studying styles and dog breeds and in most cases can offer advice that could save our valued customers money on vet bills. | | | A.J. has NO experience in grooming and DOES NOT groom, cut, clip, squeeze anal glands or cut nails of any dogs that visit the Salon.
However A.J. does bath and dry the dogs on busy occasions to enable the business to cope with the demand for it's services. Having this partnership enables A.J. and Lorna to offer dog grooming services to their valued customers at a more cost effective price. | Hounds International Grooming Salons offer a low cost dog grooming service without any compromise on quality. Lorna does her upmost to groom dogs in accordance with customer's wishes, unfortunately on occasions this is not possible. Lorna will always present customers with alternative styles and advice on brushing and grooming your dog in-between Salon visits. Although Lorna is exceptionally good at her job she is not a miracle worker and dogs with severe matting will need to be shaved. Un-less specifically requested we bath ALL dogs in fresh warm running water and use JDS Insecticidal flea & tick Shampoo. On request we also provide a shampoo for sensitive skin. If you wish to give Lorna a grooming list. please could you adhere to the following: Please make the list LEGIBLE as deciphering the list is time consuming. Requesting that your dog look more like a girl is not only pathetic but impossible. Please be practicle and precise. If you want your dog to have a long coat make sure you can cope with the every day brushing. If the coat becomes matted through brushing neglect your dog will have to be shaved next time. Don't think that we can do in 1 hour what you as dog owners should have done in between appointments. BE PRACTICAL!
We will do everything in our power to satisfy our valued customers grooming needs, but unfortunately some customers make this harder than it should be. If this is the case we would be obliged if the awkward one's used an alternative groomer. We love our job, and thankfully the majority of our customers have used our services for years. They know us personally as hard working, respectful and diligent characters. We and our staff would like to enjoy our working day and feel comfortable and safe within our working environment. We would like to state upfront that awkward customers, customers using colourful language and displaying aggression will be swiftly dealt with and banned from the Salon for life. |
